MOBILE FOOD PANTRY

On the second Friday and the fourth Monday of every month, we host a Mobile Food Pantry in partnership with the First United Methodist Church of Hurst and the Tarrant Area Food Bank.

As our guest at the Mobile Food Pantry:

On the second Friday from 9:00am – 11:00am and the fourth Monday from 4:00pm – 6:00pm of every month, we host a Mobile Food Pantry in partnership with the First United Methodist Church of Hurst and the Tarrant Area Food Bank at 521 West Pipeline Road, Hurst, TX. You will stay in your car, and line up around the building. There will be parking lot attendants to show you where to go. You can attend both of these events every month. You do not need to bring anything with you, but we will fill out a TEFAP form with you at your car window before you pull up to the food distribution area. We will load a box of food (from the Tarrant Area Food Bank) into your car. You’ll usually receive meat, fresh produce, dairy, bread, and pantry items. You’ll always receive a warm welcome and friendly smiles from our volunteers.

As a volunteer at the Mobile Food Pantry:

Anyone is welcome to volunteer at the Mobile Food Pantry! We love having corporate groups, school clubs, and faith communities gather for some quality community service! You will check in with the Community Relations Manager (or another staff member) and fill out a volunteer form with your contact and emergency contact information. You will be packing boxes of food from the delivery of pallets from Tarrant Area Food Bank, or loading boxes into cars. Please make sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing, and bring water!

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BOXES, BAGS OR CART.

The Mobile Food Pantry is open to residents of Tarrant County.

Your ID is not required, but it might be helpful to have it. If you wish to pick up groceries for a friend or neighbor who cannot attend the Mobile Food Pantry, we’ll need to have some paperwork from them. Please email us at [email protected] at least two days before the event for more information.

Visit our calendar for upcoming dates, or subscribe to our email list to receive a monthly reminder of this event.
